CapitalatWork was founded in 1990 when a couple of young entrepreneurs joined forces and decided to offer their investment expertise to external clients. Since then the organization has grown into a solid group of about 100 people across 7 offices and 5 countries.  Still many people have questions about who we are, what we do, and how we do it.  Here are some answers about these basic questions about CapitalatWork.

Our asset management department is the core of our company.
From the beginning we have decided to invest our client’s money based on in-house developed analysis and expertise. Our asset management department has developed extensive expertise in all the domains that are depicted below. We have developed in-depth views and knowledge on what we consider “core asset classes”.

Core asset classes share three vital characteristics:

1. First, they bring valuable, differentiable characteristics to an investment portfolio.
2. Second, core holdings can rely on market-generated returns, and do not need to rely on active management. In these asset classes, also passive asset management will generate long-term returns for the investor. Active management, if well implemented, can bring added value in these core asset classes.
3. Core asset classes are liquid and transparent. Trading costs are minimal, which cannot be said of many other illiquid assets.
